Library Rules and Regulations
Strict silence must be maintained in the Reading Room and all other areas of the Central Library.
Students should avoid crowding at library counters and always stand in a proper queue.
All library users must record their name, semester, and other required details in the entry register kept at the entrance.
Borrowing Limit:
Honours students may borrow two books at a time.
Programme students may borrow one book at a time.
The normal borrowing period is 14 days.
After 14 days, books must be returned or may be reissued for another 14 days, subject to availability.
A fine of ₹1 per day per book will be charged after the due date until the book is returned.
Books, syllabus copies, question papers, and journals may be used in the Reading Room against the student I-Card and must be returned on the same day.
Readers must handle library materials carefully to avoid damage.
Reference books and periodicals are not issued and must be consulted within the Reading Room only.
No library material may be taken out without the permission of the Librarian or library staff.
